  Quick Facts
Booster seats are required for children 40-60 pounds and under age six.

Nevada law changes June 1, 2004

Riding in the backseat with seat belts reduces the risk of fatality by 48% but a belt positioning booster seat reduces the risk by 54%.

  Safety Tips
Never place the shoulder belt under the child's arm or behind the back because it eliminates the protection for the upper part of the body and increases the risk of severe injury in a crash.

All children age 12 and under should ride in the back seat
